That night Laurie dreamed, she was standing just inside a little white church. Directly in front of the church, a crossroads met, and in the center of the crossroads a cross stood. The grass around the whole scene was a deep , lush green, and above the sky was the bluest blue.Overhead a steeple pointed to heaven, and all around and through the dream the words, to an old familiar hymn, sounded like a benediction, "Behold what love, yes love Divine, the Father showed to thee, in that He gave His only Son, thy soul from sin to free. Such love cannot be fathomed,'Tis like the boundless sea, His broken heart so wounded, is bleeding now for thee."

Laurie awoke to a feeling of peace and calm like she had not experienced in years, and as she lay there, she remembered her dream. It was the same one she had dreamed so many times as a child. Then like a light turned on, she realized, that was Jesus , reaching out to her in her darkest hours, comforting her, and holding her in His arms.

It was an incredible feeling, that started at the very core of her being and settled into her heart. The belief that, not only was she loved, but the one who created the world , had also created her, and she was very special to Him. It shifted her whole belief system about God and her place in life. If He loved her so much that He would take the trouble to reach to her when she didn't even recognise him, then He must truly have a purpose for her. And no matter what she did or didn't do He would always love her. It filled her with a sense of security like she had never experienced before.
